About Me
- Name: The Real Thing
- Location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
I am a camp that has been running for 15 years (this year will be the 16th). I started as a camp called 'Dharwal Adventure' with 31 campers and 12 leaders. Nowdays my name is 'The Real Thing' and I have about 40 leaders and 100 campers coming. I happen from the 27th of December to the 2nd of January each year for people in year 7-12 at high school. Come along!

I agree with miss Lyndall here..... CAMP WAS THE BEST... my hols feel empty now that i am at home..... things I use to enjoy like listening to my music seem plain now since the awesome camp fun i had....
i think some of my favs where, spotto- scarred some of the leaders when jumping to get the glow sticks was good, n being scared by Luke and his gorilla suit, sailing - seeing the guys capsize was good, the house building game - we should have won though but i guess second will have to do, raft building - beating the guys 5- 1 was great ...that’s right we wiped them lol, Winfred falls, soap sox wrestling - i think the gals where more violent than the guys lol, the NYE party - bit hot but not as bad as last year, CAFE church - being able to sing together and learn from each other, BED TIME STORIES - was hilarious, being able to have some worship time just praising our awesome god after cafe church- you could see how many people GOD was really touching and working through, Jimbos talk - the best ive heard in heap long. they really made me thing and kept my attention even when i was tired, cabin group time - thanks Jen n Anita for the time you put in to help us understand what god wanted us to learn. so yea there just a few but camp was the best, thanks for making my last year as a camper 1 to be remembered 4 eva.

i have to agree with everything lyndall and liz said.
ahhh camp was so sweet.
i leanrt so much and made some awesome friends.
thank you for all the great times guys.
oh and i have to say w00t go team t.
mmm cabin 28 was surely the best haha and i loved all the leaders you guys are fantastic.
cant wait til reunion woohoo.
oh and i rekon all us seniors should remember our the real thing dance and perhaps do a little replay at the reunion and show the juniors just how good it was.

osh my gosh i have so much to say mannnn ok well i would have to say it was the best camp i ever went on and better then last year as well and i didnt wnt to leave i was so sad wen i did and since ive been home ive been sittin around doin nuthin thinkin bout camp thats al i think about everything about it was the best the food,activities,talks from unky jim:P,groups not to mention a few specific things such as WINIFRED FALLS ME BEING TO ONLY ONE WHO KNEW THE WAY IN MY GROUP EVEN THE LEADER DIDNT WHICH MENT WE WENT ALL THAT WAY NEARLY GOT THER AND THE REST OF MY GROUP WERE LIKE NO WE ARE GOIN TO RONG WAY I WAS LIKE NOOO WERE NOTT KEEP GOIN BUT NO THEY MADE ME TUNR BAKK HAHAHA good times oh and also SOCK SOAP WRESTLING HAHAHAHA now that was halrious but yes i wud hav to agree with liz GIRLS ALOOOOT MY VIOLENT THEN GUYS HAHAHA especially who me and nat had to verse in the final round lol i think i so much soap went into my mouth,nose and eyes that ther was none left in the poolll thiny lol hahahah oh and how could i forget BED TIME STORIES ahhahaha lols that was ausome SENIORS WAS THE BEST AND EVERYTHING ELLLSE
one of the best things for me was the leaders alll the leaders ther the ones i knew and got to knew were better then ever EVERY LAST OEN FO THEM they were like big brothers and sisters or bet frends not people who boss you around :) lol i had the best leaders evvver

i would like to thank them for everything especially jess who encouraged me in so many ways and helped me with things that i was struggling with so THANNNKS
it was auusome to be able to just spend a whole week praising god in the best environment and with the best people
i wish camp had gone for longer and i cant wait til the reunion to see everybody agen and also next year its so far away :P

i had the best time! senoirs is so much better than junoirs!! woot!
my fave thing was the way that everyone got along so well in senoirs n none of us wanted 2 leave!!!!
all the leaders were the best thanks 4 makin camp so much fun n like mel said u guys werent bossing us around u were jus hanging out with us!
i loved my cabin! woot go sac haha! these girls encouarge me so much! n team t next door love u guys heaps 2!!
i agree with gab!..we all have 2 remeber the dance n do it at reunion!!n we gotta get jem 2 bring his guitar!! woot go senoirs!!

WOW!! this week was hps awesome!
i can't believe it's all over, cos i had soooo much fun.
Go the seniors - you know how to have fun :-).
ive got soo many photos to remember everyone, especially everyone in my cabin. thanks jess p. and ali 4 leading me- i cant think of any better leaders (though ur my onli ones!). alex, kate, nat, danni, mellie and megzy-esp.- u betta b at reunion! lol.
its going to be soo long to the reunion. 5 weeks will be like forever...
but the best thing... it is soo hard to say, but... go hingis and beaver 4 ur bedtime stories - never heard any bedtime story like that ever. ;-).
i loved the activities. winifred falls - it may b the last time i try a twisting backflip, cos it hurt soo much! , soap sox wrestling was violent, and my clothes still smell of soap, and the movie - great work guys! and i guess a big thumbs up for jimbo keeping me awake in the mornings, and the songs in combined time, finally got me singing without feeling self conscious (great feeling!!! because i dont let myself sing very often.)
well, i can't wait 4 reunion, cos i miss everyone already... and im very sad because im too old to be a camper for next year (or rather, this year - oops!)
ill see you all on 11 feb.

camp was maybe the best week of my entire life.aside from the other real things ive been on that is.AH IT WAS AWESOME.I LOVE CAMP.i miss it so much.jimbos talks were so fanstically good good good and my cabin group and leaders were awesome!!!!!!team t :)it was awesome to become even closer to you girls.seniors and all the snr leaders and directors were the best!!but i still did miss all the jnr ppl :( i had probably the funnest bday ever - the dinner outcasts and winifred falls where we lost the way dang it! and EXCUUUUSE YOU MEL but i fully had confidence in your navigation skills the entire time we were LOST IN THE BUSH.and i am seriously offended that you talked about us like that.ahahhaah JUST KIDDING.
church cafe was so good and singing outside that night was so awesome and one of my favourtie nights in the world.also caonoeing/dragon boating - what a fun eventful day!!
woo hoo kate nad britt camp champs!!!(though me and caitlyn DID actually save your lives)naaah you guys deserve it! haha
and of course who could forget bedtime stories.a serious highlight.i will treasure my card forever.

clearly the best 6 nights of my life!!! and only 38 days till the reunion!! so very pumped!
and yes i was joint camp champ!! yiewwww for getting run over by a boat! lol.
lov all of my new friends more than anything!
thanku to the leaders who totally rocked! and a HUGE thankyou to TRACY and CATHIE! couldnt ask for better leaders and friends!!

obviously this is the best week of my year even though i havent had the rest of 07 yet...lol
i love m room group even tho i did miss you newcastle girls+caitlyn n liza n tahls...but hey it was awesome!!
britt kate n suzie are champ thanks for bein heaps open n gettin to know us..of course i love my old camps friends sarah claire pippy but welcome to the real thing family bee katie n suze!!lol we really must keep in touch k!!?n loved meeting pl in other grades too...u guys are lots of fun.
our group was...well...rather emotional but it was good...i loved our discussion times!gave me lots to think about!pretty amazed by god'sgoodness n awewsomeness...speshly in such a beautiful place!ps cafe church was tops...i love singing to god!!
i love camp so much n miss you all already..bring on reunion...

camp was :Unreal,Amasing,fantastic,Rad, Crazy,awesome,wicked,Super, extraordinary, astounding, bewildering, breathtaking, , impressive, marvelous, spectacular, staggering, startling, striking, stunning, stupefying, stupendous, wonderful, hair-raising - (only Jem would get that.) impressive, magnificent, moving, charming, delightful, encouraging, reassuring ,hunky dory,groovy,peachy, and yeah...
Thanks to all the leaders u guys are the best u make camp camp it wouldn't be the same with out u guys.....
Gonna miss cabin 24 ali,jess,Elissa,kate,nat,mel,alex,dani.. and Amy I didn't forget u...u guys better all be at the Reunion or or..well u better just be there :)
